Forging and hardening by T6 strengthens the material enough, so far-less of it is needed to be used. This means even less weight with even more stiffness. Stem ULTMATE XC 70 is one of the best of what you can use for your XC adventures.

Screws on the head enter the stem at angle of 12 which toughens the whole mount of handlebars to the stem
